About ANANDAAM

Some enthusiastic youths of Vivekananda Study Circle, Advaita Ashrama, Kolkata founded ANANDAAM to implement the service activities as propagated by Swami Vivekananda. Over the period of seven years our target was to serve people in need and distress. Our selfless activities include distress relief, value education and propagation of the idea and ideals of the Holy Trio, Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda. Our aim is "Atmono Moksharthyam Jagad Hitaya Cha" - liberation of self and welfare of all. We are not social activist, but spiritual seekers. The people we serve are regarded as the manifestation of highest reality. Serving the needy and distressed is nothing but worship of God in his human form. So our service is our spiritual practice to achieve highest goal of human life, liberation of the self
